“Show Us Your Garden” Photo Contest Rules & Terms
Rules
To enter our “Show Us Your Garden” photo contest, tag us on Instagram on or before August 31, 2025 @capitolwholesalenursery with a photo of your garden, containing plants purchased from our nursery. (You might have bought the plants from us this week, this month, last year, five years ago - what matters is that some of the plants are from us!).
We will judge entries according to overall visual appeal, plant health, and creativity. The winner will be notified by DM and announced on or about September 1, 2025. The prize is a $100 purchase credit to Capitol Wholesale Nursery, Inc.
Do I need to be following you to win?
Yes! Please make sure you are following our account.
does my account need to be public?
Yes, to be able to see your photo we need to be able to see your account.
You can also DM us a photo, if you like, but be aware we may post it as a submission on our public Instagram page and/or website.
how do i prove i purchased the plants from you?
You don’t need to. We trust you.
will you use my photo for advertising?
Yes, we might. By submitting the photo, you agree to let us use it for promotional purposes. See the full Terms & Conditions below.
can i tag you on facebook instead?
This contest is just through Instagram.
do you ship plants?
No, sorry. You have to be able to redeem your gift card at our San Jose, California store. We also deliver to the Bay Area.

Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of California, 18 years or older. Employees of Capitol Wholesale Nursery, its affiliates, suppliers, and immediate family members are not eligible. Participants must have an active Instagram account and be following @capitolwholesalenursery at the time of winner selection.
2. How to Enter
Post a photo of your garden featuring plants purchased from Capitol Wholesale Nursery on Instagram, tag @capitolwholesalenursery in the photo, and ensure you are following our account. Your Instagram account must be public at the time of entry for us to see your post.
3. Entry Period
Entries accepted from August 11, 2025 through August 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.
4. Prize
One (1) winner will be chosen to receive a $100 Capitol Wholesale Nursery gift card. Prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
5. Winner Selection & Notification
All eligible entries will be reviewed by Capitol Wholesale Nursery staff. Photos will be judged based on overall visual appeal, plant health, and creativity. The winner will be announced on or about September 1, 2025 and notified via Instagram direct message. If no response within 5 days, a new winner may be chosen.
6. Rights Granted by Entrant
By entering, you grant Capitol Wholesale Nursery permission to use your submitted photo, name, and likeness for promotional purposes in any media without additional compensation.
7. General Conditions
Capitol Wholesale Nursery reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud, technical issues, or other factors beyond our control impact the integrity of the contest. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.
8. Agreement to Rules
By participating, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Capitol Wholesale Nursery, which are final and binding.
